Craig takes a trip to Primark to take a look at their range of denim and puts a look together from the latest range in stores.
One of the things that I aim to do with my blog is share all sorts of styles, for all sorts of budgets and inspire those of different views to try something different or try a different store when shopping for a new look. As we know, Primark is a low cost fashion store that offers a huge range of up to date clothing for the fashion conscious on a budget. This casual look has all been chosen from the very latest selection in stores right now.
Every guy needs jeans. Primark’s current range has a huge selection of denim in a wide range of styles, colours and cuts. From straight leg to super stretch skinny and from the darkest black to the palest faded blue. Some are plain, others are ripped or faded, so there’s something there to suit all styles.
The jeans I chose for this look are bang on trend and are the deep blue slim fit ripped jeans. At just £18 they’re an absolute bargain and rival any other jeans out there. The fit is very good, which is helped by the slight stretch n the fabric.
The navy Harrington jacket is again bang on trend and has become a staple items in most modern guys’ wardrobes. At just £19 it’s 100% cotton and really looks the part. You could wear this jacket with chinos or even a smarter pair of trousers, a white shirt and a tie for the office.
Primark also offer traditional denim jackets and a great Borg lined dark denim jacket. So if you wanted to go full on denim, you can!
On top I added an Oxford Grandad collar shirt in a light blue. This helps make the look a little smarter, but there’s no reason why you couldn’t substitute it for a crew neck sweater, a T-shirt or a roll neck. All would look just as good. The shirt is a crazy £8 and would also look great under a suit or with shorts and sneakers. While this isn’t a ‘denim’ shirt, the colour lends itself to a denim look.
If you’d prefer a denim shirt, Primark can help you out, and I did see a nice one in store that also had rips, but I didn’t want to go all out ripped as I wanted to keep things a little more sedate and just a touch smarter than the ripped shirt would have looked.
I wasn’t sure whether to opt for a white sneaker or boots for this look, but as I chose a shirt rather than a sweater or T-shirt I decided to keep the look a touch smarter and wear these black suede effect desert boots. The boots are £16 and are also available in blue.
I accessorised with some bead bracelets and the Ice Sixty Nine dark watch, which like the outfit is very affordable at £65.
This look can be yours (excluding the watch) for just £61 and all items are available right now in a store near you.
What do you think of the look? How would you have worn these jeans? Do you prefer rips or plain jeans? Whatever your thoughts, I’d love to hear from you so please feel free to leave a comment and I’ll get back to you. Thanks for stopping by.
