Craig of That Dapper Chap wears the Barbour top and quilted jacket available from Mainline Menswear
After a beautiful summer here in the UK the weather finally took a turn today and while the leaves on the trees are still very green, Autumn is most definitely on its way. For me that means cosy sweaters, layering, and a great jacket and boots.
The Barbour jacket and top are both from Mainline Menswear, an online store that stocks a really wide range of great menswear from over 85 different brands. You’ll find clothing , footwear and accessories from Armarni, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Versace and Paul Smith to name just a few, so take a look as there’s something to suit every taste.

With Tink the Jack Russell clambering to get out and do some ball chasing, I pulled on my Barbour top and jacket and set off to the local woods so that we could both get some exercise.

The top is the Barbour sports T Shirt, with longs sleeves and a two button fastening at the collar. It’s 100% cotton and is priced at £50.00.

I’m glad I wore the jacket, as no sooner had we stepped out of the house when the rain started. Just as well it’s water resistant! The jacket is again by Barbour, and is the quilted Liddesdale jacket. It has popper fasteners and a corduroy collar. Very typically Barbour in its look it was perfect for an afternoon dog walk.

At one point we did shelter under a tree as I’d unfortunately forgotten to bring my umbrella. So while I was slightly perturbed, Tink was more than happy. The only thing she had to remember to bring was her green ball, and unlike me she was more on the ball (pardon the pun)

Jeans are ideal for dog walking, and this pair from Racing Green are a bit of a staple ‘go to’ item for me. They fit very well and the slim leg is very on trend.
|These boots from Base London are an ideal addition|
Every dog walker needs a good pair of boots and had I have checked the weather forecast before leaving the house I would have put on some wellington boots. However I didn’t! These Base London boots did the job well enough though. These are the Clapham boots in burnished tan. Priced at £79.99 readers can grab a 15% discount by using code DAPPERCHAP15 at checkout

So, walk done, ball thrown, ball brought back (a hundred times) it was time to go home, dry out and get a nice hot cup of tea and a dog biscuit.
Thanks for stopping by. Tink says ‘Ruff’
